O Parque de Monserrate vai ser palco de cinema por uma noite, no dia 23. “Sintra – O Monte da Lua” é um documentário sobre os “locais mágicos” da serra que vai ser exibido.

“Há apenas alguns locais mágicos na Terra” e “estes montes e florestas são uns deles”. É este o ponto de partida, no trailer de apresentação, de “Sintra – O Monte da Lua”. O filme pretende mostrar a biodiversidade da serra, a sua beleza natural, o seu misticismo e encantos.

Conta com realização de João T. Vasconcelos e o roteiro foi feito por António Castelo. Mais de um ano foi o tempo que a equipa de realização precisou para captar imagens fiéis à paisagem. O trabalho incluiu captação de imagens em cenário nocturno, muitas horas de espera e também algumas dificuldades em filmar em espaços por onde a passagem de pessoas é uma constante.

O filme é da Aidnature, uma empresa que tem por objectivos promover o património natural dos territórios de língua portuguesa, divulgando-os em documentários, vídeos, sites, livros e fotografia. A empresa contou com o apoio da Parques Sintra, instituição cuja missão é a salvaguarda e a valorização da paisagem cultural da vila, no âmbito do seu projecto BIO+Sintra, que pretende reduzir a pegada de carbono, de forma a valorizar a biodiversidade daquele concelho.

Os bilhetes – que incluem a exibição do filme e acesso ao parque e palácio de Monserrate – custam quatro euros e podem ser adquiridos em qualquer bilheteira dos monumentos da Parques de Sintra, bem como online, na Blueticket.

Screening of film about Serra de Sintra to be held under the moonlight

For one night only (the 23rd of this month), there will be a cinema screen in Monserrate Park (Sintra, Portugal). “Sintra – O Monte Da Lua” (lit. “Sintra – The mountain of the Moon”), a documentary about the “magical places” of the mountains, will be shown.

“There are a few magical places on Earth” and “these mountains and forests are one of them”. This is the starting point of the presentation trailer of “Sintra – O Monte da Lua”. The film shows the mountain’s biodiversity, natural beauty, mysticism and charm.

It is directed by João T. Vasconcelos and scripted by António Castelo. The production team took more than a year to capture images faithful to the landscape. The work included filming during the night, a lot of waiting and also some difficulties filming in places where there were a lot of people walking around.

The film is from Aidnature, a company whose goal is to promote the natural heritage of Portuguese speaking areas, by divulging them in documentaries, videos, websites, books and photos. The company has the support of Parques Sintra, an institution with the aim of protecting and valuing the village’s cultural landscape, under the BIO+Sintra project that aims to reduce the carbon footprint in order to value the municipality’s biodiversity.

The tickets – which include the film’s exhibition and access to Monserrate’s park and castle – cost 4€ and can be purchased in any box office of the park’s monuments, as well as online, in Blueticket.
