Gangsters à moda da Picheleira

Vega, chunga da Picheleira, é expulso do gang onde “trabalhava”. Zangado, decide reunir um bando de criminosos para se vingar de Barbas, o ex-chefe.
Este é o ponto de partida para a comédia “Nirvana”, primeira longa-metragem de Tiago P. Carvalho, que quando era miúdo queria ser astronauta no Texas.
O filme conta com um elenco de luxo entre os quais os veteranos Carlos Areia e Daniel Martinho, acompanhados por um bando de jovens tresloucados, no melhor sentido da palavra. Conheça as personagens aqui em baixo.

Babalu – Nuno Vinagre
Tem nome de cão de desenhos animados e é, segundo o realizador, “a personagem mais retardada do cinema português”. E com isto está apresentado.
Bambi – Marta Faial
Bambi é uma mulher misteriosa e, cuidadinho, muito perigosa. É uma silenciosa assassina contratada e exímia manipuladora de raquetes de pingue-pongue.
Barbas – Daniel Martinho
Faça o que fizer, não brinque com este senhor. Barbas é o chefe do gang que expulsa Vega e é o homem responsável por esta espiral de vingança e loucura.
Gingerale – Tiago Carvalho
É a personagem mais absurda. Um bandido com uma metralhadora e uma paixão por roupa de mulher. Mas nada de gozar, este rapaz é o realizador.
Jony – Sabri Lucas
Jony tem um problema de agressividade não resolvido. É imprevisível e obcecado por destruição, qualquer que seja. É um dos grandes rivais de Vega, o nosso “herói”.
Pandarilha – Carlos Areia
Milionário e traficante de joias e arte, está numa cadeira de rodas e como tem cancro na garganta só fala com a ajuda de um microfone encostado ao pescoço.
Pluma – Miguel Meneses
Não é um gangster, mas é como se fosse. Este detetive privado é corrupto e sem escrúpulos. Também tem a mania que se veste bem e dá uns ares de playboy.
Vega – Ian Velloza
É o nosso herói, nascido e criado na Picheleira, onde aprendeu a ser bandido. É cobarde, tem sede de vingança e é impotente. É chunga. Muito chunga.
Gangsters Picheleira-style

Vega, a bad boy from the Picheleira neighbourhood in Lisbon, is expelled from the gang he “worked” at. Angry, he decides to gather a band of criminals in order to take revenge on Barbas, his former boss.
This is the starting point for the comedy “Nirvana”, the first feature film by Tiago P. Martinho, who wanted to be an astronaut in Texas when he was a boy.
The film stars some well-known Portuguese actors, among whom the veterans Carlos Areia and Daniel Martinho, along with a band of kooky youngsters, in the best sense of the word. Get to know the characters below.

Babalu – Nuno Vinagre
He has the name of a cartoon character and he is, in the director’s opinion, “the most retarded character in Portuguese cinema”. And this pretty much describes him.
Bambi – Marta Faial
Bambi is a mysterious woman and, watch out, a very dangerous one. She is a silent hit-woman and excellent at handling Ping-Pong rackets.
Barbas – Daniel Martinho
Whatever you do, don’t mess with this man. Barbas is the gang boss who expells Vega and he’s responsible for this spiral of vengeance and madness.
Gingerale – Tiago Carvalho
He’s the most absurd character. A bandit with a machine-gun and a passion for women’s clothing. But don’t mock him, because this boy is the director.
Jony – Sabri Lucas
Jony has an unsolved aggressiveness problem. He’s unpredictable and obsessed with destruction, whichever it is. He’s one of our hero Vega’s biggest rivals.
Pandarilha – Carlos Areia
A millionaire and a jewellery and art smuggler, he’s on a wheelchair and only speaks through a microphone close to his neck because of throat cancer.
Pluma – Miguel Meneses
He’s not a gangster, but it’s almost as if he were. This private detective is corrupt and unscrupulous. He also thinks he dresses well and sort of looks like a playboy.
Vega – Ian Velloza
He’s our hero, born and raised in Picheleira, where he learned the ways of a bandit. He’s a coward, has a thirst for revenge and is impotent. He’s bad. Very bad.
