De acordo com o noticiado pelo “Ípsilon”, a comédia “Dot.com”, realizada pelo português Luís Galvão Teles, foi nomeada na categoria de “Melhor Filme Europeu” nos Globos de Ouro italianos. “Dot.com” concorre com o filme francês, “Amigos Improváveis” (“Intouchables”) de Eric Toledano e Olivier Nakache, e “O Artista”, Michel Hazanavicius.
“Dot.Com” estreou em Portugal no decorrer de 2007, no entanto, apenas estreou em Portugal no final do ano passado, tendo sido bem recebido pela crítica e pelo público local. Realizado por Luís Galvão Telles (“Tudo isto é Fado”), o filme conta no elenco com João Tempera, María Adánez, Marco Delgado, Isabel Abreu, Margarida Carpinteiro, Lia Gama, José Eduardo, Maria José, Tony Correia, Pedro Alpiarça, entre outros.

O filme tem a seguinte sinopse: Águas Altas. Este é o nome de uma pequena e bela aldeia portuguesa do interior. Composta por gente humilde, Águas Altas está prestes a ser o centro do mundo. Tudo porque uma multinacional sedeada em Madrid quer reclamar o nome do seu site para lançar uma água com o mesmo nome. Mas no interior da aldeia há quem queira vender o site à multinacional e quem, por outro lado, se mostre irredutível. Um diferendo que cai nas bocas do mundo e que arrasta uma enorme tempestade mediática e uma intervenção directa do Primeiro Ministro português. Está nas mãos dos aldeões gerir uma questão de identidade nacional perante a «invasão» espanhola.

O prémio é entregue dia 3 de Julho, em Roma.

 Dot.Com nominated for best European film at the Italian Golden Globe Awards.

According to the Portuguese newspaper Ípsilon, the comedy Dot.com, directed by Luís Galvão Teles, was nominated for Best European Film at the Italian Golden Globe Awards. It will compete with the French film “The Intouchables” by Eric Toledano and Oliver Nakache and also “The Artist”, by Michel Hazanavicius.
“Dot.Com” premiered in Portugal in 2007 but wasn’t released until late last year. It was well received by critics and the public. Directed by Luís Galvão Telles, the film also stars: João Tempera, María Adánez, Marco Delgado, Isabel Abreu, Margarida Carpinteiro, Lia Gama, José Eduardo, Maria José, Tony Correia and Pedro Alpiarça, amongst others.

This is the film synopsis: Águas Altas (lit. High Waters). This is the name of a small and pretty village in the interior of Portugal. Full of humble locals, Águas Altas is about the be the center of the world. All this because a multinational company in Madrid is trying to reclaim the name of their village website in order to launch bottled water with the same name. Within the village there are those who would like to sell the site and those who want to keep it. When this dispute is known, a huge media storm is created and the Portuguese Prime Minister has to intervene.  It’s in the residents’ hands to manage the sense of national identity due to the Spanish «invasion».

The prize will be awarded on the 3rd of June in Rome.
