“Catarina e os Outros” atinge cinco milhões de visualizações no Youtube
Trailer da curta-metragem de André Badalo tornou-se num fenómeno viral.
Foi lançado em 2011 mas ainda dá que falar. “Catarina e os outros”, realizado por André Badalo, produzido pela Original Features e protagonizado por Victoria Guerra (atriz da novela “Sol de Inverno” em exibição na SIC) atingiu recentemente 5 milhões de visualizações no Youtube, onde consta o trailer do filme.
“Catarina e os outros”, curta-metragem de 15 minutos baseada numa história verídica, conquistou o Prémio de Excelência nos Los Angeles Movie Awards de 2011 (entre outros festivais) e contou com o apoio do Ministério da Saúde, fazendo parte de uma campanha institucional de sensibilização da Coordenação Nacional para a infeção VIH/SIDA. Os 5 milhões de visualizações são o resultado de uma campanha que a Original Features conseguiu tornar viral.
O filme tem sido mostrado no circuito dos festivais de cinema e será disponbilizado gpara visualização gratuita ainda no decrorer deste ano no canal do Youtube e no site da produtora Original Features.
A curta-metragem foi escrita e realizada pelo português André Badalo, que filmou recentemente com Monica Bellucci e Asia Argento o filme “Baku I Love You”, no Azerbaijão. A Original Features encontra-se atualmente a preparar dois projetos com o mesmo realizador: um documentário em coprodução com a Noruega, sobre a Europa do futuro e uma comédia, “Rádio Algarve”, inteiramente filmada no Algarve com um elenco de luxo e lançamento previsto para 2015.

Trailer of the short-film by André Badalo has become a viral phenomenon.
It was released in 2011 but it still sets tongues wagging. “Catarina and the Others”, directed by André Badalo, produced by Original Features and starring Victoria Guerra (actress in the soap opera “Sol de Inverno”, on display on the Portuguese television network SIC) has recently hit 5 million views on YouTube, where its trailer can be viewed.
“Catarina and the Others”, a 15-minute short film based on actual events, has won the Excellence Award on the Los Angeles Movie Awards in 2011 (amongst other festivals). It received the support of Ministério da Saúde (Ministry of Health) and it is part of an institutional awareness campaign by Coordenação Nacional para a infeção VIH/SIDA (National Comission for HIV/AIDS infection). The 5 million views are the result of a campaign that Original Features has managed to turn viral.
The film has been screened at various film festivals and it will be available as a free version later this year on the YouTube channel and the Portuguese producer Original Features website.
The short film was written and directed by Portuguese André Badalo, who has recently shot the film “Baku I Love You”, starring Monica Bellucci and Asia Argento, in Azerbaijan. Original Features is currently preparing two projects with the same director: a documentary in co- production with Norway on the future of Europe and a comedy, “Rádio Algarve”, filmed entirely in Algarve with an all-star cast. It is set to be released in 2015.
