O obra de ficção portuguesa Boa Noite Cinderela, de Carlos Conceição (Versailles), foi selecionada para a competição na secção de curtas e médias-metragens da Semana da Crítica, a decorrer durante o Festival de Cannes, de 15 a 23 de maio.
Produzida de forma independente pelo próprio Carlos Conceição com a parceria da Blackmaria Produções, e distribuído pela Agência da Curta Metragem, Boa Noite Cinderela é uma sátira que adapta o famoso conto-de-fadas, apresentando-o na perspetiva do Príncipe. Na génese do projeto, e de acordo com o cineasta, está «um paralelismo político-social entre o estado do país na segunda metade do séc. XIX e a fase que agora vivemos».
Com Joana de Verona, João Cajuda e David Cabecinha no elenco, Boa Noite Cinderela terá estreia no domingo, dia 27, no IndieLisboa, integrando as Competições Nacional e Cinema Emergente.

Cannes: “Boa Noite Cinderela” will be competing in Critics’ Week
The Portuguese work of fiction Boa Noite Cinderela by Carlos Conceição (Versailles) was selected to compete in the short and feature films section of the Critic’s Week, which will take place during the Cannes Festival, from 15 to 23 may.
It is an independent production by Carlos Conceição, in partnership with Blackmaria Produções, distributed by Agência da Curta-Metragem. Boa Noite Cinderela (lit. Good night Cinderella) is a satire which adapts the famous fairy tale, showing it from the perspective of the prince. According to the director, in the origin of the project lies “a political and social parallelism between the situation of the country in the second half of the twentieth century and that which we are now living.”
Starring Joana de Verona, João Cajuda e David Cabecinha, Boa Noite Cinderela will be released on Sunday, the 27th, at the festival IndieLisboa, in the National and Emerging Cinema sections.
