Atores criticam dobragem de “O Tempo Entre Costuras”

Série espanhola vai ser dobrada para ser exibida na TVI. A estação diz que opção permite chegar a maior número de pessoas. Atores contestam e Filipe Duarte recusou dar voz à sua própria personagem.

Filipe Duarte, protagonista da novela Belmonte e empresário sedutor na série histórica espanhola de sucesso O Tempo Entre Costuras, está “contente por saber que [o programa] tinha sido comprado pela TVI e que ia ser exibido em Portugal”, mas diz ter ficado “triste” com a opção da dobragem e vinca que recusou dobrar-se a si próprio neste trabalho. “Não sou contra as dobragens, é uma área em que os portugueses são muito bons, mas não percebo porque vamos dobrar figuras humanas quando não é hábito em Portugal, muito menos para uma série que não vai dar às três da tarde”, afirma o ator.

Fonte oficial da TVI que esta opção – aplicada a uma série que será emitida pelas 23.00 – permite “chegar a um maior número de pessoas possíveis”, e tratando-se de uma língua próxima da portuguesa “é mais fácil chegar a uma naturalidade”. Dalila Carmo, que contesta a dobragem, embora não precise de a fazer para esta série que obteve sucesso na Antena 3 espanhola, preferiria ser ela a dar a voz à sua própria personagem.

Actors criticize the dubbing of “The Time in Between”

 A Spanish TV series will be dubbed for its exhibition on the Portuguese television channel TVI. The station says that the option will allow for it to be accessible to a larger number of people. The actors object and Filipe Duarte refused to give voice to his character.

Filipe Duarte, who is the leading character on the Portuguese soap opera Belmonte and the sensual businessman in the historical Spanish hit series The Time in Between, is “happy to know that [the show] had been bought by TVI and would be televised in Portugal”, but claims to have been disappointed with the choice to dub it and stresses that he refused to dub his voice in this work. “I’m not against dubbing, it’s an area in which the Portuguese people are very good, but I don’t understand why we’re dubbing human figures, when it is not usual in Portugal, let alone for a series that won’t be aired at three o’clock in the afternoon”, states the actor.

TVI officials say that this option – applied to a series that will be aired around 23 pm – allows it “to be accessible to a larger number of people”, and since it is a language akin to Portuguese, “it is easier to reach spontaneity”. Dalila Carmo, who objects to the dubbing, although she doesn’t need to do it for this series, wich was a success in Spanish Antena 3, states that she would prefer if it was her to give voice to her own character.
