Nuno Bernardo selected for Canne’s cinema producers meeting
In May, the Portuguese film producer Nuno Bernardo, invited by the Portuguese Instituto do Cinema e Audiovisual (Cinema and Audiovisual Institute), is going to participate in the Cannes Film Festival, the European cinema producers meeting.
The initiative Producers on the Move has been happening for fifteen years in Cannes and consists on the promotion of meetings between 24 young cinema promoters for future cinematographic projects and international partnerships.
Each producer is invited by the cinema institute of his/her respective country, in this case Instituto do Cinema e Audiovisual, partner of European Film Promotion, the organizer of the producers meeting.
Nuno Bernardo is the founder of the company BeActive, cinema and contents producer for several entertainment platforms, responsible for projects like the films “Beat Girl” and “Collider” and the series “O diário de Sofia” and “T2 para 3”.
BeActive also produced the television police series “The Line”, broadcast on MOV.
Besides Nuno Bernardo, in the Canne’s meeting will be the Swiss producer Elodie Brunner, producer of the films “Até ver a luz” and “Os vivos também choram”, from Basil da Cunha.
Producers on The Move will happen from May 17th to 19th.
In previous editions, Producers on The Move had the participation of producers like João Matos, Rodrigo Areias, Luís Urbano, Fernando Vendrell and Leonel Vieira.
